United States Government and Politics
This one semester course is designed as a college preparatory history class. Students will engage in studying the fundamentals of American government. Students will gain an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States both by studying the general concepts used to interpret United States politics and by analyzing specific examples. They will also learn about citizenship, civil rights, elections, and the process for creating new laws.
